Number 2……The Fantastic History

You could spend weeks in the region and still not find out all there is to know about the history of Calabria. Probably one of the most complex areas of Italy due to it being the most historic area of the country. General history is fascinating about the area from its Roman occupation through to its rapid expansion during the Norman period (resulting in many beautiful villages still in existence)

However, close to the apartments are treats like the Pizzo Caves which just have to be seen to be believed. Truly beautiful.

Number 3……...Fantastic Weather

The Calabrian winter is cool and there is moderate rainfall which only means that in Summer, when it is simply Divine, the area still remains beautifully green and rich with flowers. Summer temperatures regularly hit the 30s and the evening sun is simply fantastic up on our roof terrace.

Number 4……. Fantastic Food

There is not a lot I can say here as the food in this region is simply delicious as you would all expect. Italian food is wonderful at the best of time and the usual suspects are here in abundance. However, this is a great area for fresh fish and hence some of the dishes are a wonder if you are a fish lover. Its all pretty cheap as well. To give you an idea a Margarita pizza in Pizzo Town Square will set you back about €4. Fantastic value given the setting……

Number 5………Fantastic for Families

Being a father of two myself I can only tell you this from personal experience but how better to advise. I have never been to an area so friendly toward children. You will get stopped in the street with lots of cheek pinching (the babies by the way) and if your children have fair hair you should see the reaction. It is really lovely to see a way of life so devoted to children in every manner of their lifestyle. It is sincerely a joy to take children to this area of Italy.
